Damn boy, you been working hard huh?

This one really has some power behind it and - hurray bongos!! The piano was pretty sick as well, especially the last part. You sequence or play that? This one loops pretty well also *nudge nudge* flash programmers.

I did not expect it to evolve into what it did when that first crash came. What's with you and these short songs eh? You know my complaint there, although I think I'm going to be Faving this one.

As always, great beats, great variety in instruments and great complexity in the rhythm, melody and others. Can't really complain about anything on this one (except the length).

Nice Job as always!

PS - You doing the MAC?

Musical-Pants responds:

Well you'll be pleased to know that I plan to make this song longer!
This is the second demo, I plan to delete this and release another version soon.
In answer to your question, I did sequence all of the piano.
And do you mean MAC as in computer? Or something else? Pm me.
Thanks for the review!

Good.

The main synth line and melody in this song were great and catchy as well. The buildups were ok but you could have made them better with some more pads. The line you introduced in the beginning I think maybe should have come back into the song. It was pretty sick and could have helped in the buildups etc.

The drums were okay, but you need to vary them. Add more effects and fills as well. The drums got really repetitive but with a few different aspects, you could really make them shine through. Also, when you break it down, try changing the drum beat from a 4-on-the-floor maybe to something a little different. It'll give the feeling that the song has slowed down a tad. Anyways, basically more effects on the drums, variation, and fills (snare roll, etc - just don't use the snare roll over and over haha).

I also think you need a pad in here as well. You have a sidechained pad in there but you need some background noise when everything breaks down. Maybe a dark pad could work or something a little less busy than the traditional trance bad.

All in all, good job but this song could definitely use some more work. Keep it up!

Wow, sick collab. Most of the hip hop I've come across recently really wasn't anything special but you guys really put a lot of effort into this one. The strings are well done and don't repeat too too much. The drums are sick and, while they could have a bit more variation and fills, they work very well. The crashes and toms put that epic feel in there that you were getting at and the subtle touch of piano was really awesome.

Haha, this is way more advanced then all the popular stuff. Nice job guys, I'll have to check out your other collabs. While i don't frequent the hip hop genre, this is going on my favs list. All you need now is some vocals, but who doesn't right?

Again, nice job. 5/5, 10/10.

I liked this one a lot and your experience with FL is really starting to shine through. I can tell you're starting to get a grasp on all the features and intricacies and whatnot. Plus it's a blessing not to have it sound like all the other FL dribble on here haha.

Loved the funky feeling and groove you've got going. The strings in there were a pretty sweet addition. As always, drums are flawless and the fills worked wonders. Great variety of instruments here too. I also really liked the bass, it shined through the song and I like it when a song has that aspect.

Fav'd it, dunno if this is really pop - I guess though *shrug*. This is my favorite of the recents that you've submitted. As always, I wish it was longer but hey, if it ain't broke don't fix it right? Nice Job.

~SinJim

Musical-Pants responds:

Thanks as always.
Several people have pegged this one as funk, maybe I'll change the genre.
The bass was actually the first thing I started with, then came stabs, drums, and strings, and the song sort of evolved from there.
Appreciate it.

Nice job with this loop pants, I wanted a bit more effects and I thnk with time you could have added. It is short but it works well that way. The song could do with lengthening but that's really up to you. And you can really notice the prodigy drum fill in there. Lol, even before I read the description I picked that out. You might wanna ask your friend to lay a sick guitar riff over this, real heavy and the like. I think that'd be sick.

Anyways nice job on this one!

Musical-Pants responds:

Thanks.
I actually did this one for some guys trailer, it got blammed, and I decided to upload this anyway.

Waking up

Nice song here. Sweet beat and seet progression. It does give you that "floating" feel like you're stuck inside a dream. Although I wanted a mid part where it faded out into the abyss and came back into the tune. I thought I heard the kick clipping in the middle, but I'm not sure..it may have just been my shitty speakers - Ah well...

Nice job on the song, 5/5, 10/10.

Wow, Excellent work here, Beacon. Your attention to detail is impressive. This song is an excellent credits song. Did you make it for a movie/game? I really love the variation in all the instruments and the choir is well used as well. The building progression also gives this song a real feel and I really like it. Also liked the key change at the end.

Great song! Going on my favs, 5/5, 10/10.

Beacon515L responds:

Mother III is an RPG for GBA published for Nintendo. The music was composed by Shogo Sakai, so no, I didn't make it. What I did do was reorchestrate it entirely, and rendered it in FL. So it's still my work, I just didn't write it. XD

The progression is thanks to Sakai, I just played it up. I'm glad you liked it. And man... 5/5, 10/10 AND a fave?! Man that's awesome. Thanks man, you rock! XD

Requiem

Wow, this is impressive work right here. Are these all software strings? If so, that's incredible - what instruments/software packs did you use? (Sorry I'm an information mooch).

This is a great piece with real feeling and I really respect the work you've done here. It sounds like you have a strong grasp on orchestration and it really shows.

Nice Job, 5/5, 10/10.

This is all entirely Edirol Orchestral with Cubase SX3
thanks

Discovered.

I really liked this song, I'll have to go into your others and check them out. Had a great beat, loved the piano part and the melody was awesome. Great work with the drums. I loved the key change at the end (at least that's what it felt like - maybe you just added some different chords *shrug*) Great job, finish your others! 5/5, 10/10, fav'd.

Thanks for the review. I really appreciate it when people take the time to describe why it is that they like the song. I believe it helps me develop as an artist.

And as usual, this song is voted down again. :(

I shall take my scattered selves and make them one.
